What is myopia?

Myopia (nearsightedness) = Eye that is too long

“Nearsightedness occurs if the eyeball is too long or the cornea, the clear front cover of the eye, has too much curvature. As a result, the light entering the eye isn’t focused correctly and distant objects look blurred.” American Optometric Association

What causes myopia?

“Visual stress” is the “primary factor” responsible for the development of nearsightedness.

This means that visual stress curves the cornea more or lengthens the eyeball.   What does it mean to say that visual stress curves the cornea more or lengthens the eyeball?  What are the mechanisms engaged in visual stress?   Seems it’s the eye muscles. There are eye muscles around the eye.  And the eye is filled with what’s called the “vitreous humor” which is 98-99% water.   The blue area, labelled the vitreous humor, is the inside of the eye. It is 98-99% water.   So you’ve got something that is 98-99% water with muscles around it.   Those muscles get contracted and tense in order to see things up close and it may take some amount of time for those muscles to relax.   Note the case studies of people that do not wear glasses or contacts at all, but do occasionally have blurry vision.   Consider that if they would go to an eye doctor keen on prescribing glasses, contacts, or lasik surgery – then all of the above might be utilized and from then on the person would rely on lenses as their sight deteriorates. And is actually being hampered from returning to its emmetropic state (clearsighted). Here’s how:       So according to our definitions, the eye is lengthened by the visual stress. Thus an eye is going from Emmetropia seen at the top of the diagram to Myopia seen below.   The purpose of the SEEING NAKED program is to return the eye from myopia to emmetropia.   The function of glasses, contacts, and lasik surgery is the OPPOSITE of returning the eye from myopia to emmetropia.   Here’s how: ’ In the image above we have a concave lens that focuses the light farther back so that it focuses on the retina. Contacts do the same thing by lengthening the optical length and lasik surgery does the same by altering the shape of the cornea by cutting out a piece of it.   Already, we should see that these are not acceptable solutions, because we know that an undesired cause is leading to undesired results and the so-called solutions do not reverse the results nor deal with the cause.   If the cause is visual stress, and the results are a lengthened eyeball. We should reverse the visual stress, and the results should be a properly shaped eyeball.   The fact that a lengthened eyeball does not provide clear distance vision signifies that a lengthened eyeball is undesirable for distance vision. What glasses, contacts, and lasik surgery do is make it so that lengthened eyes see clear in the distance.   But why should lengthened eyes see clear in the distance? It seems that lengthened eyes are engineered to see close. Modern optometry says that muscle contractions are necessary for close vision. They say that looking at close things excessively. Blah! As I write this my eyes are yelling, HEY we had enough looking at this screen! But no, I must press on.   The funny thing is that vision  utilizes muscles and muscles can get fatigued.   Muscles can get stiff. Muscles can get stuck.   We rely on our muscles to be relaxed to see distance. It’s a physiological fact.   Vision is a fine tuned process that requires the co-ordinated movement of multiple extra-ocular and intra-ocular muscles.   If those muscles get stuck in the position for seeing close and the visual needs are to look at something distant, the visual needs require the muscles to be unstuck. Yet, the muscles are stressed. The muscles are stiff. The muscles, perhaps like your shoulders or back after a day of sitting, do not release instantly.   If they do not release, you will not see clearly. They are tense in order to see up close.   BUT THEY CAN RELEASE. They will if you give them time and you DON’T cut them or but lenses in front.   Have you ever noticed that some people need to remove their glasses to see things up close? That may be because glasses for nearsightedness can make you farsighted so they must be removed by some to see up close. How can glasses for nearsightedness make you farsighted?   Easy.   If your eye should shorten, which is known to happen naturally, while wearing lenses or while having a lasik cornea correction… then you will suffer from farsightedness until the eye lengthens again.   Look at the diagram:   Note the focal point of the light.   In emmetropia (clearsightedness) it is at the back of the eye. In myopia (nearsightedness) it is in front of the back. In hyperopia (farsightedness) it is behind the back. For simple purposes of acuity it perhaps does not matter so much the shape of the eyeball but rather whether the light focuses properly on the retina or not.   It may and most likely is a problem if the shape of the eye is one such that it cannot see properly without additional tools. It is certainly a disadvantage to rely on contacts or glasses. Lasik is not dealing with the cause either. Lasik makes it so that if there’s any shift in length of the eye then glasses will be needed.   Back to our story.   Glasses and contacts make it so that IF your eye was to return to a shorter length, THEN so long as you still wore your glasses or contacts you would be farsighted because now the light is falling behind your retina – EVEN though if you took off glasses it may not.   Lasik surgery is supposed to be a permanent alteration to your cornea’s refraction, which means that any change in eye shape will result in the need for glasses or contacts or another surgery. In other words, lasik surgery makes it undesirable for the eye’s shape to change because it will then necessitate an exteral manipulation as well.   So this is a very big problem.   You do not want a health program that prevents the natural state of health by definition and yet… that is exactly the function of glasses, contacts, and lasik surgery.   Yes they deliver results.   But at what cost?   Remember that visual stress is the cause of lengthened eyeballs (myopia). Well what do we know about the results of stress? They’re usually bad. They are not helpful.   Let’s say we run with the idea that the visual stress is composed of improperly tensed muscle fibers and or dysfunctional muscle coordination?   Again, what we mean by improper tension is that the eyes are not properly responding to the mental command. So say you have been reading upclose for sometime and then want to look to the distance. You look in the direction of that which you think you wish to see, but your eye muscles do not entirely release. The muscles in question may be the ciliary muscles that surround the lens OR the oblique muscles which are said to squeeze and lengthen the eye.   Eyes are important for communication.   They really are.   Staring too much = bad. Not making enough eye contact = bad   There are different kinds of eye contact:   IMAGES showing different kinds – sexual, unfocused, etc..   So here’s the question, do people with corrected myopia still feel stiff? Do they suffer from excess eye tension?   IF they do, which you can confirm or deny for yourself right now by answering:   DO YOU SUFFER FROM EYE TENSION?   If so, then isn’t it worthwhile to relieve that tension, whichever way works for you?   This is why Seeing with the Naked Eyes is so important. If your eyes are not seeing naked, then they are being hampered by artificial accomodation.   Fortunately, people tend to sleep without their lenses and thus their eyes can shorten a bit overnight[i]. See the studies as well as  the anecdotes. This means that the vision is improving over night. These individuals claim to have clear vision most of the time but occasionally have blurry vision that returns to clarity over time.   VIDEOS + An expandable log of cases   Importantly, overall we are seeing consistent reports of stress and strain in the corrected myopic population to a much higher degree than in the emmetropic. So even if we do not believe in reversal of myopia, which at this point can only be seen as an ironic case of selective blindness, we must realize that myopia should be looked at more broadly.   SHOW TOTAL STATS OF MYOPIA WITH REGARDS TO STRESS   Which brings us back to the definition of myopia being a condition caused by visual stress.   Obviously, on the face of that description we can determine that preventing visual stress will be a key part of our education and environmental design.   Why SHOULD we visually stress ourselves? Do we need computers, televisions, latenights in bad lighting, or reading books so much so that we should sacrifice our eyes for them? Should we be outdoors so little that we have worse vision?   It doesn’t seem justified. It doesn’t seem like the actions of wise individuals or societies, but it is what it is.   Fortunately individuals can choose to do things differently. An individual can start getting better rest at night and minimizing lens use and maximizing naked eye time.   The more you are seeing naked, the more opportunity your eyes have to release and relax.   Sleep is a perfect opportunity to release and relax and then some time in the morning where you focus on doing what’s best for you.   The format of the Seeing Naked Program is to help you from wherever you are, get to where you want to be.   The first key steps are to get more naked time, get better sleep time, and get more visual movement.   These are outlined in detail in the free 3 Key to Success Program Available in All 3 Forms Digitally and also available in the Format as Consultations in Person and Remotely.   The Success Program goes over a lot of the initial troubleshooting people have when removing their glasses or contacts.

  • I can’t identify people far away from me
  • Everything is blurry
  • I am uncomfortable not seeing clearly
  • I am on the computer a lot
  • I am in class often
  • I need to read things in the distance for my work
  • I need to drive (ALWAYS BE SAFE AND LEGAL)

The truth is you should basically just chill out about all of these things and start in safe places and get more present to your feelings and grow out of the ones that don’t serve you. Being overly tense is not fun and not helpful. Find out what’s going on in your body-mind.   Use the zoom function or get an external monitor for your computing.   Decrease unnecessary close work/play and do more things outside.   Stop using contacts. Save yourself the money.   Using glasses is better because you can use them on a case by case basis. Only use them when it’s an emergency, legal issue, or a situation where it truly is meaningful for you to have near perfect vision and not discuss your life improving process. So get glasses of a lower prescription (you can work with an amicable eye doctor) and put them in a case that you carry with you so that if you suddenly need to read in the distance you can put them on, but otherwise you’re going to not wear them and get good naked eye experience.   Now the overall thing is release the body-mind in the eye region.   This may involve more work for some than others. In theory this can be an extremely quick solution like less than a day or really just an instance of release, but for others it can take years and both of them might have been of equal physical ability but different mental state one more willing to shift than the other.   However, people do have different physical conditions as well and the harmony between mind and body may be key in this whole process. And unfortunately lenses can really disrupt this harmony because in the past, a certain impulse would provide desired visual imagery but with lenses it changes. Glasses make it so that more staring occurs and stuck, stiff, stressed muscles also by definition are loss mobile. Less eye movement means less visual imagery which means less feeling of flow. Think about moving images and how at a certain rate they do not seem to move but rather be a slideshow. This can be similar to visual experience when eyes move less the mind may be less connected to current visual reality so to speak. So again – lenses and lasers fail.   Visual stress is the problem. Relaxation, movement, and central fixation are the solutions.   One of the 3 KEYS TO SUCCESS is better rest.   How can you get better rest?

  • sleep more and sleep more soundly
  • put up black-out curtains and turn off all lights when in the bedroom
  • and don’t turn on lights at night including the cell-phone to maximize your melatonin production.
  • eat better
  • exercise better
  • get more outdoor time
  • clean your room and make a nice bed to lay in
  • get fresh air in your room by opening windows, having plants, or moving elsewhere
  • learn to meditate and or do relaxation techniques like those guided in the Seeing Naked Program

  • How to get a relaxed night of rest everytime you put in the time
  • How to feel your body and identify and satisfy its impulses and needs
  • How to then be in touch with your desires
  • How to be in touch with your psychology so that you can grow
  • How to release your old ways of seeing things through lenses and seeing nude anew.

More importantly than “showing how”, the SEEING NAKED PROGRAM guides you through your own process so that you will be more in touch with your ability to release, and relax, as well as understand what causes your stress in the first place, because the Seeing Naked Program guides you to put in the time.   Make the commitment to yourself to put in 10 hours of relaxation healing time for yourself.   Think about it.   What would you do if someone paid you $100 an hour to do whatever you think is truly best for your health, what would you do?   Would what you end up doing actually have been worth PAYING $100 an hour for?   Of course you can say, no, because I can do things for myself all the time for free.   That is the attitude the Seeing Naked Program espouses and more than that, that is the HABIT that an 10 hour 10 minute commitment to the program will make for you.   All you have to do is put in 10 hours and 10 minutes and you will be seeing better with your naked eyes than you did at the start of the program.   You have the opportunity to prove this to yourself.   Start by removing your lenses before bed and following an effective method for transformative relaxation.   The idea of transformative relaxation is that people can fundamentally alter the general perceived sense of what their general level of relaxation or stress. This basically will come down to at least the components of breathing, body language, and thought and feeling quality.   Breathing Body Language Thought Quality Feeling Qaality   These four areas are all focused on and improved upon in the Seeing Naked Program. By engaging those areas directly we discove more avenues for positive change.   Can you identify one, some, or all of these areas as places where there is direct available improvement or growth possible?   OFFER SELECTION WITH CHECK BOXES                   you should get glasses of lower prescriptions   We should not, on the other hand   Here’s the problem:               Most people can confirm that sometimes after stress and straining, their vision gets blurry, and that afterwards by stopping to strain and relaxing it returns to normal.   EXAMPLES     This means that eyes get too long     Therefor, since myopia is a condition where an eye is too long:   The cause of the eye being too long is visual stress and strain.   Visual stress and strain make the eye too long.

Meditation is Easy. (How to meditate)

People are mistaken about how to meditate. They try to quiet their minds and “think of nothing”. Instead, just focus on relaxing. Focus on your body, your breathing, and letting yourself become more and more aware.

Let yourself move! If you feel like moving move! Just pay more attention!

Why does your body feel the way it does?

I think that there are reasons why the body feels “bad” when it does…

And I think we should pay attention to those feelings and discover those reasons.

Your body is not an annoying child or incessantly barking dog to either be reprimanded, scolded, or ignored.

If your body is in pain, there’s a reason. Find out the reason.

The reason your body is in pain is not because you have a painkiller deficiency. Although, if you do more exercise and get more sleep your body will produce more chemicals that will make you feel good overall.

The reason your body is in pain is because something is wrong. Maybe you’re too tense. Maybe you’re afraid. Maybe you’re mad. Maybe you’re sad. Maybe you don’t eat enough. Maybe you eat too much. Maybe this maybe that.

Your feelings might be based in your thoughts and emotions – not your body. You might feel bad in your stomach not because of the food you ate, but because of your behavior. Maybe you eat bad food because you have a bad mood. Who knows?

You are the person that is supposed to be figuring out what’s going on. You have a choice to look inside and find out what’s going on.

When it comes to eyesight improvement, to me this is the absolute key. Paying attention to how you really feel and owning it and transforming.
