The Thank You Text For My Audio Program

I created the audio program to accelerate your learning and to help keep you on track so that you keep going and never quit…


The idea is for you to develop habits such as:

Improving how you sit.

Improving how you stand.

Improving how you move.

Improving how you sleep.

Improving how you see.

Being more relaxed, comfortable, confident, flexible, and energetic overall.

These are things that will NOT happen simply from listening to someone talk.

These things will happen through your dedicated action and your change of mind.

So when you’re listening to the audio, either focus closely on the feelings and words I’m saying OR focus on DOING the activity that I describe.

Many times I simply describe HOW I use(d) time in bed to help release tension and get better rest and see clearer. You can listen while in bed as well and focus on your own body to release tension and get better rest.

For the standing tracks: you can stand too and just focus on how you’re standing.

For the sitting tracks: you can sit too and just focus on how you’re sitting.


Do not just stop at listening once.

Listen and then do the activity I am describing WITHOUT listening to any track – purely pay attention to your own body.

Then repeat the process. Again and again.

Do NOT over-do it. Do not “TRY” too hard with this. Do not “TRY” to finish the program quickly. Simply go at the pace that feels right.

Once you can easily sit in meditation, easily enjoy standing exercises, easily explore intuitive movement and dance, and can directly feel your emotions and thoughts… then you have learned a LOT.

And the learning will continue.

If you have trouble simply sitting on the ground cross legged, then consider how much better you’d feel if you didn’t have trouble just sitting.

Do you feel tense and uncomfortable in bed at night most nights? Imagine being relaxed and LOVING your experiences in bed.

Do you get stiff or notice a bunch of discomfort when you try to simply do a standing exercise? Well consider how much different your life would be if you could simply stand confidently and relaxed. HUGE impact.

An Angry Response to a Skeptic

Hey I found this in my e-mail drafts. I believe it was a response to a YouTube critic who said some skeptical things about eyesight improvement and generally seemed to be defending the medical model. Anyhow here it is:

You’re wrong and are clearly suffering from occluded perception. You understand that you’re publicly calling me a liar don’t you?

Or you’re being deliberately blind to all the people that are alive and both claim and have demonstrated their improved vision.

Do a youtube search for real people that “claim” to have improved their eyesight. If you think it’s impossible for someone to tell the truth AND sell something related to it, only look for people that have no products and just want to share their stories.

And with regards to “evidence” are you aware of how much myopia has increased in the past forty years? Are you aware of its correlations with education levels? Are you aware that studies show that when animals are put in enclosed areas or are fitted with glasses? In both cases they develop myopia.

Are you familiar with the study in Singapore and Australia that looked at children of Chinese ethnicity? It showed a 29.1% rate of myopia in the Singaporeans and 3.3% rate in the Australians. Obviously there are going to be many differences between the groups, but the point any good-willed person should take is that behaviors and environment can affect eyesight.

If behaviors and environments can make eyesight worse, than at least avoiding those behaviors and environments will lead to less bad vision.

Are you claiming that straining your eyes will not lead to the experience of blurry vision? Are you claiming that insufficient sunlight or insufficient outdoor time have no effect on quality of vision? Are you claiming that muscular dysfunction could not be a cause of blurry vision?

You have to understand, I’m just trying to help people improve their lives. And I live in a world that involves money as a mode to exchange value. I have spent the past 4 years creating web content and developing an understanding to be able to effectively share it with the world.

People that appreciate me and my work and want more of it in the form of a book, movie, or audio program, can use money to get that and thus help me have the time to make the content.

Numerous times have I mentioned that information is available for free. Numerous times have I offered my services for free. Numerous times have I made videos for free. Literally hundreds of videos. Hundreds of hours have been spent by me making these videos. But you’ve read some skeptical douchebaggery online and decided that you’re going to parrot it without having any understanding of the mechanics of vision. Which I don’t blame you for, because wikipedia doesn’t tell the full picture and neither does the NIH.

The NIH says that there is no way to prevent nearsightedness. That is a direct quotation from their page on myopia. How can that statement be true?

The only way that would be true is if myopia was 100% genetic. IF there were any ways to develop myopia that were not genetic, we could probably agree that they were preventable.

Could a person stay up all night, night after night, straining their eyes to see and not getting sunlight and then not properly relaxing their ciliary muscles, iris sphincter muscles, or extra-ocular muscles (all of which are necessary for distance vision)? Would that effect their quality of vision when they’d take a vision test?

Do you understand that it takes mental focus to focus properly on a specific visual target? Could a person not be a mentally focusing on the visual target and have a mental problem focusing there, but not actually have a real disease?

I just shaved my beard today. It was a thick fucking beard. It took my landlord forty minutes to notice it. How is this possible? Could it show that maybe people aren’t always focusing on everything?

Most people get fitted for lenses as children. Are children good at paying attention to what you tell them to attend to? Are children comfortable being tested? Are children capable of identifying that they are stressed and need to relax in order to function properly?

Hahah see this is ridiculous because you so clearly do not know a damn thing about vision. If you knew any of the facts you’d be questioning them with much greater depth and interest than you blindly voice your skepticism and cleverness.

Now to address the claim that everyone would avoid Bates methods with a 10 foot pole. I am simply mostly interested in the method of relaxation for better visual functioning. I am NOT telling people to use a magnifying glass on their eye or to look directly at the sun in mid-day.

Here’s where a conversation with people like you can get tricky. I am a person that is showing evidence of visual improvement. I have the eye doctor tests, the driver’s licenses, and I have the personal experience. i had a -4 and -3.75 prescription. I began to remove the glasses, do exercises and relaxation and over time saw more and more clearly. I went to the eye doctor and was prescribed a -2.25 pair of glasses with the astigmatism and cylinder removed. I continued the exercises and relaxation and went to the DMV and passed the test. They test at 20/40. Now here’s the issue. I’m guessing you have some vague non-explanation for what I’m telling you. It’s either that I’m a liar, somehow confused, or I never had myopia in the first place and the doctor’s just made mistakes. Why?

Because if I actually did what I said I did, then that would be evidence for removing glasses, relaxation, and eye exercises leading to improved vision.

Who are you? And what’s your interest in vision if any? If you know anything, and you clearly somehow have extensive knowledge of Dr. Bates work though I would be very shocked if you read a single page of his writings all of which are freely available online. Don’t you know that glasses, contacts, and laser surgery do not treat the cause of myopia?

Don’t you know the cause of myopia?

Don’t you know that it’s a condition where the eyeball is elongated? That the physical length is longer than the optical length?

Don’t you know what causes the elongation?

Don’t you know that stress, strain, lack of sunlight, and lack of outdoor time can cause the elongation?

Did you know that the eye is fully formed at  age 13?

Do you know the actual mechanism by which the eye is elongated?

HOW is the eye actually elongated? Does the sclera break down at certain points? Does the eyeball itself simply take on a different shape suddenly whenever the person starts stressing and straining?

Do people’s “bad genetics” just kick in randomly at the same time people go into Law School? Do people’s “bad genetics” just “kick in” more and more as people spend less time outdoors and get more education? Because the more education people get and the less outdoor time, the more myopia they get.

HMMM. interesting.

So let’s go back to your ideas mister phd in skeptical arts. Do you see any problem with lenses or lasers with regards to how they DO NOT TREAT THE CAUSE IN ANY WAY?

Lenses and lasers change the focus of light so that instead of falling at where the retina would be in a properly functioning eye they “ideally” fall at where the retina is.

Did you know that the position of the retina actually changes regularly? Even wikipedia says that. Did you know that people’s eyesight actually fluctuates regularly?

Do you not see a problem with prescribing fixed lenses or cutting a flap out of the cornea to alter where light falls, when there is no guarantee the retina will still be there?

Do you know the people that became farsighted after getting Lasik surgery when they were nearsighted before?

Consider the hard evidence in the case of nearsighted people that became farsighted after Lasik surgery. I have a close friend that is around 30 years old and was nearsighted, he got Lasik surgery, and has become farsighted. I am not necessarily claiming Lasik itself caused him to be farsighted, but draw your own conclusions or open your mind.

This is discussing young adults who get Lasik surgery for nearsightedness and wind up being farsighted. It is important to mention they are young so that this is distinguished from presbyopia.

So a person comes in to get Lasik surgery and is nearsighted. That means his eye is too long. The Lasik surgeon cuts a flap in his cornea to make the light fall farther back (ideally to where the retina currently is). Then, the person starts seeing better at first and even sees great for the distance, but now needs reading glasses for hyperopia (farsightedness).

Well what is farsightedness? That’s when the eye is too short and the light’s focus would be behind the eye. So if he is truly farsighted (hyperopic) it means that his eye has become too short physically for the optical length of the eye’s focus. That means that his eye got shorter since Lasik surgery.

If someone’s eye got shorter, then blurry distance can be improved since the cause of blurry distance vision is an eye that is too long.

When something that is too long becomes shorter it can become just right.

Unfortunately in the case of Lasik surgery, significant eye elongation or shortening will cause problems.

Now it is the case that there are multiple tools the body has to create focused vision. Accommodation happens with the iris sphincter muscles altering the pupil size and amount of light that enters, the ciliary muscles alter the shape of the lens, and extra-ocular muscles alter the vergence. The oblique muscles also be responsible for accommodation but let’s just call that a crazy fringe theory with no reputable sources confirming it. So we have a few methods to adjust our vision. It appears we can somehow shorten our eyes, we can lengthen our eyes, we can thin our lenses, and we can alter the amount of light that enters. So that’s all part of the story.

But let’s go back to the Lasik fail. What happened there? The conventional analysis where we just take definitions from wikipedia or the NIH would say that if a person is farsighted, their eyes are too short.

So the person did Lasik and now their eyes are too short. Well the thing to consider is that the optical length was changed by the surgery. Essentially the optical length was changed so that what is naturally a dysfunctional eye, is now a functional eye.

If it was the case that myopia developed not as a result of strain, but as a result of freak genetics that lead to increased length of the eye, then lasik surgery would perhaps be a wonderful thing, since to do a surgery to decrease the length of the eye might be extremely dangerous or impossible.

However, if myopia, which I must reiterate that according to conventional definitions myopia is a condition of blurry vision that happens due to an elongated eye that happens either due to strain and visual stress or heredity or both.

So here’s an honest request of doctors wishing to perform Lasik surgery. Can you verify that

A. the patient is not suffering from pseudomyopia.
B. the patient is not dysfunctionally using any of his or her eye muscles that would effect his or her quality of vision
C. the patient is not diabetic
D. the patient is capable of mentally focusing on the eye chart
E. the patients eye will not change shape significantly

Let’s look at E. Have you ever noticed that outdoors in the light your vision might be better than at night or indoors? If you used the standard testing by using an eye chart 20 feet away you would be able to prescribe multiple pairs of glasses for people. An indoor pair and an outdoor pair and maybe a driving pair too. Well what are you gonna do when you are slicing the flap in their cornea?

This problem effects plenty of people that are not getting lasik surgery. How many people hate wearing their glasses? Millions. How many people only wear glasses for driving? Millions. How many people only need their glasses at night? Millions. How do they get treated at the eye doctors and lasik surgery centers? Like everything is standard. Whatever test they use at the glasses store or clinic will be the one that sets the prescription.

Is that not true? Do you go and get tested multiple times? Do they test you indoors and outdoors? Daytime and nighttime? Maybe they should! They could prescribe three times the glasses, contacts, and it’s too bad we only have two eyes and not three because otherwise they could have three different lasik corrections one in each eye!

How can you even explain the phenomena of fluctuating vision without accounting for the reality that eyesight improvements occur naturally? I don’t understand what the belief is. Is the belief simply that once your vision gets blurry it stays that way? Because that is easily demonstrably false. Vision can get blurry and then restore itself. Just space out while looking at something close and then turn towards the distance and you might not have clear vision until you relax and focus your gaze. Well guess what?

There are plenty of people that are spaced out, tense, and have trouble relaxing and focusing.

Something real eye doctors should pay attention to is the actual person. If a person has visual problems, this is a sign of a problem. It is not simply something to just accept that the solution is to cut a piece of their face off or put a piece of plastic in or in front of their eyes.

There are very serious and obvious causes of blurry vision that can be directly addressed through environmental and behavioral change.

What do you think sleep has to do with vision?

Vision is an elaborate elegant process that involves fine muscular control. To get good vision the eyes must act in unison. The brain must put the image together. The eyes must be supplied with nutrients and the mind has to be able to respond in time with the visual information flow. This is not something that we have total knowledge of!

BUT we have discovered quite clearly the contexts in which people develop myopia. When they don’t get enough sunlight. When they strain their eyes for close work. When they don’t sleep enough. When there’s too much light in their sleep environment. When they don’t get enough nutrients. When they don’t spend enough time outdoors. When they don’t spend enough time looking to the distance.

Also, mechanically, people will appear to be myopic if they cannot disengage the muscles that are engaged for close vision. This is a real possibility. A person gets tense shoulders from working too long in a hunched over position and not breathing freely. When they stand up, they do not know how to just relax and let their shoulders go. Consider that the eyes involve more muscles than the shoulders and must be much more coordinated or there is very clear biofeedback in the form of blurred sight.

The problem is that people are not actively relaxing. The problem is that people’s problems mount higher and higher with no release. The pressure on people does not lessen it gets worse. Not always, not for everyone. But in general there probably are clear statistics showing greater stress as people go through schooling to college or to the workplace and then so forth. Well the truth is I don’t know. And even if it was true that people get more and more stressed over time, that wouldn’t have to be the case for you

Now for most people, if a person experiences blurred vision such as not being able to read the board at school – which is a good example of a situation that involves embarrassment and fear of movement and being seen. Consider the fear of public speaking that is so ubiquitous in American society
